Daily Care

Galuchat (stingray leather) maintenance

  1. Brushing
Brush the entire surface with a soft, fine-bristled horsehair brush to remove dust and dirt from the grooves.

  2. Wipe with a tightly wrung cloth
If it gets a little dirty, gently wipe it off with a fine cloth. The basics end with these two points.

  3. Do not use creams or oils

Please refrain from using creams and oils as they can cause dullness and color unevenness. For stubborn stains, apply a delicate cleaner for exotic leather to the cloth so that it does not get into the grooves, then wipe gently.

  4. If the product gets wet

Galuchat boasts the highest level of water resistance among natural leathers, but if left wet, it can cause mold. If it gets wet, place it in a well-ventilated place with low humidity and out of direct sunlight to dry it.

  5. Refrain from strong direct sunlight
Please note that yellowing will occur due to ultraviolet rays if you continue to expose it to strong direct sunlight.

Galuchat is basically a durable leather that does not require much care.

The more you use it, the more it will look like an antique ornament, while the color tone will change to add depth. We hope that you will enjoy using LONVA products for many years to come.
